Embroidered Vampire Veil Oct 31 Written By Amy Plante Welcome to Day 31 of 31 Days of Halloween Crafts! Today we’re making an embroidered vampire veil inspired by Maison Margiela. Materials:- sheer fabric like tulle or chiffon- tear away stabilizer- sequins- embroidery floss- needle + thread- embroidery hoop To start, draw a simple face design (think Picasso vibes). Trace your design on tear away stabilizer, which will make it easier to stitch delicate fabric. Layer the fabric on top and sandwich the layers into an embroidery hoop. I’m going to use a chain stitch for most of the design. Pull your needle from the back and insert the needle into the same hole, coming up a quarter inch away, and catching the loop before pulling it tight. Follow the lines of the design. I’m adding sequins in a couple of spots for some sparkle. When you’re done, take off the hoop and carefully tear off the stabilizer. Your veil is complete. Thank you to everyone who’s been following along with me on this crafting bonanza. I hope you have a wonderful Halloween. Amy Plante
