Bones of My Enemies Crushed Ice Bag Oct 20 Written By Amy Plante Welcome to Day 20 of 31 Days of Halloween Crafts! Today we’re making a bag for crushing ice or your enemies bones. Materials:- canvas- fabric paint- sewing machine Cut a piece of canvas that is 8.5 by 23 inches. This includes a 1/2 inch seam allowance. Fold down one of the short sides by a 1/2 inch and sew two lines of stitches, one that’s 3/8 inch from the fold and one that’s 1/8 inch from the fold. With right sides together, fold the fabric so that the stitched side is 4.5 inches from the other short side. Stitch both the sides down with 1/2 inch seam allowance. Iron the seams and turn the bag right side out, with the raw edges of the flap folded over by a 1/2 inch. Top stitch two lines around the whole perimeter of the bag as you did before. For the artwork, I drew a design and then traced the reverse in pencil. Then I placed the art on the bag and retraced it from the front to transfer the graphite from the back onto the fabric. You can’t really see it on camera, but it’s enough of a guide for me to paint on. When you’re done painting, follow the paint instructions for how to set it. Fill the bag with ice and hit it with a wooden mallet to crush. Amy Plante
